Christlikeness: Striving to be like Jesus Christ

‘Align’ Christlikeness verse

What is Christlikeness? Is it possible to be like Jesus?

Christlikeness is aligning ourselves with God’s perfect will, but it does not mean that we should be perfect; that isn’t possible. However, we should look to Christ as our example of how to live and strive to do our best to continue his work as discussed in the verse below (Romans 12:2). God calls us to be his representatives, to fall in line and create a path for others to know him. So, let’s align with Christ and show others the way to salvation.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Photographer’s Notes– Capturing ‘Align’

This captured image, “Align,” is of a natural, unmanipulated occurrence of rain drop on a blade of lemongrass. How the lemon grass bends in the middle, raindrops formed a perfect cross, reminding me that Christ is in everything.

“Align” was taken with a 100mm Macro lens at f/2.8, handheld. The goal was to create bokeh everywhere except the center of the cross to symbolize focusing on him. We are the drops, and only together, can we show others Christlikeness.

Our goal is to help fellow Christians deepen their relationship with God by creating studies that go beyond written words. If a picture says a thousand words, our unique approach reaches deep into your thoughts, memories, and emotions, through visual engagement, to deepen your study and actively strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ.
