What does it mean to have faith like a child?

Faith like a child scripture-Proverbs 22:6
What does it mean to have faith like a child? It is reaching up, like a toddler, to grab their parent’s hand, putting their full trust and safety in them. The beauty of a toddler’s faith is they inherently know that their mother will provide safety. But why do we think God is any different? Instead of constantly questioning God, perhaps we should be more like a toddler and just hold our hand up for God to grasp and lead us down a path he created, just for us. Parents set the example, and when children see you living through faith, they will follow.
“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Photographer Notes– Capturing ‘Guiding Light’
As photographers, our role is to define through sight and to leave questions for the viewer to ask and answer. I saw this beautiful moment of my wife and youngest child, Charlie, as they made their way out of a walkthrough barn in Central Georgia and instantly thought of child-like faith.
I overexposed the background light to create the dark contrasting silhouettes, forming the perfect outlines of mother and child. This silhouetting style removes the identifying characteristics of the subjects, making it less about Charlie and Kathleen and more about the mother/child relationship. Monochrome was the perfect tone for this image since fine details were unnecessary for what I envisioned; my only goal was to produce heavy contrasts, capturing a clear silhouette to focus on their embraced hands (see exert below) and the sense of reliance and trust of a child, on his mother, to lead him down the right path.
