One of God’s greatest gifts, what is love of God?

What is the meaning of life? Love. It’s what God gives us unconditionally and it is what he wants most from us, infinite love is the Love of God. It is what brings life into the world, and it is what raises a child properly to adulthood. It is a word mentioned in the Bible anywhere from 310 to 551 times, depending on your translation. So, God is very clear that love is essential.

1 John 4:8 “Whomever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

Photographer’s Notes– Capturing ‘Simple Love’

The moment photographed above was spotted by my very observant wife, Kathleen, and I was lucky enough to capture the delicacy and tenderness of this couple. The use of monochrome amplifies the contrasts and rawness without the unnecessary distraction of color. We are left asking if they are homeless, heartbroken, tired, stressed, at peace; however, we definitely do not question their love. She rests comfortably in his lap as he comforts her shoulder with his hand. She is not laying to enjoy the scenery but to take comfort and peace in her companion.

God’s love for us is as simple as a couple on a park bench. The reason or scenario does not matter, through difficult times and happiness, he is there with his hand on our shoulder to let us drift off in the comfort of his embrace. His only ask, is our love in return.

God was there that day, whether in the hand of a warm touch, in the soothing song of melodious birds, or in the breeze, gently and softly flowing around that bench. He was present and he felt their pain.

Our goal is to help fellow Christians deepen their relationship with God by creating studies that go beyond written words. If a picture says a thousand words, our unique approach reaches deep into your thoughts, memories, and emotions, through visual engagement, to deepen your study and actively strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ.
